Description |
Dimensions: body 24-26 mm;
Both sexes have pale yellow "face" and light brown thorax, generally lacking in stripes, but sometimes there may be medium-frontal and humeral dark stripes. Male : light brown abdomen with sometimes a dull, brownish, narrow and wavy dorsal stripe. The wings are orange with yellow veins, with a darker brown spot in the middle of the wing and a dark red pterostigma. Female : abdomen is light brown with one faint brown dorso-lateral strip, narrow and wavy. The wings are clear with amber bands between the base and the pterostigma, there may also be dark brown spots in the basal fourth of the wing. |
