Habitat

It is found in ponds and slow waterways, both with permanent and temporary water, lakes.

The species is reported in southern Texas, Mexico and east Central America.

Description

Dimensions:body 36-39 mm;

Male : "Face "green with metallic green eyes, brown thorax, darker in front, with yellow stripes that darken with age, pruinose abdomen tending towards black towards the extremities.

Narrow and transparent front wings and backs with dark veins, brown pterostigma.

Female: Eyes and chest as a male, dark brown abdomen with wide fins on segment 8.
